Borrow a Kill-a-Watt Meter from the Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library
Introducing Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro’s Kill-a-Watt Meter borrowing program. If you have a library card, then you can borrow one of these easy-to-use devices that will help you measure the electricity used by the electrical appliances in your home. Simply plug in each appliance to the meter, type in the current cost of electricity and the large LDC display will show you your operating cost. Calculate by day, week, month or full year of costs for each appliance in your home based on your consumption (kWhs). We hope the Kill-a-Watt meters will help you in your energy saving efforts by providing you first hand information in an easy-to-understand way.
