COVID-19: Time-of-Use Rates Suspended until May 31, 2020

The Government of Ontario is extending temporary emergency relief to support Ontarians impacted by the global COVID-19 outbreak. Households, farms and small businesses who pay time-of-use electricity rates will continue to be charged off-peak rates 24 hours a day, seven days a week until May 31, 2020.

2020 OEB APPROVED RATES – Several rates are being deferred until a later date.

Electricity Rates Effective November 1st, 2019

Generation Charges
ON-peak 20.8 ¢/kWh
MID-peak 14.4 ¢/kWh
OFF-peak 10.1 ¢/kWh

Electric charges are reduced on Residential bills by 31.8% (Ontario Electricity Rebate) for usage as of November 1, 2019. The rate is 8% for usage prior to November 1, 2019.
