2023
The Council of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake has has updated water and wastewater rates, effective May 1, 2023. Water rates (fixed and variable) increased 2% from 2022, while wastewater rates increased 4% from 2022. A decision was made in 2011 to amend the rate structure to provide for a gradient fixed charge based on water meter size (which relates to the water service connection) and was done after careful consideration of a financial plan for each of the water distribution and wastewater collection
systems to ensure their long-term sustainability.
