As a residential customer of Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro, you have FREE access to easy-to-use reports on your home’s energy use. It’s through a program called CUSTOMER CONNECT. This tool will allow you to view your daily and hourly consumption and is updated everyday with the previous day’s readings. If you’re able to put the dots together, you will be able to see how your actions affect your home’s energy consumption.
Customer Connect will also help you see if upgrades and behavioral changes worked. Maybe you run your furnace fan 24/7 and decide to turn it off for a day or so? You’ll be able to see your total usage for the day and see if it really did make a difference. Click on MY ACCOUNT in the button at the top of the page to go to Customer Connect. Note that the portal is hosted by a trusted 3rd party.
Local Energy Meters
NOTL Hydro also offers several Energy Meters that you can take home and measure individual appliances such as your refrigerator, microwave or entertainment system. You may find a few surprises.
